| | I did not get the job. I'm pretty much over it now, but honestly I was pretty devastated when I read the letter. I spent the rest of the day drinking and then fled the state for a couple days, that's pretty healthy. I've got three more applications out there: Isle, Lanesboro, and Farmington. I'm really hoping for Farmington, which is funny because I distinctly remember making a joke about how I would end up in Farmington some day.
I'm really getting burnt-out working up here. We've had some delays in our materials supply so that has set us back a few days. We were planning on finishing this week, but that will not happen now. I'll be back for one more week, and then I can say goodbye to my home in the north woods. When I'm done I'll post some pictures of the cabin so you can see what Omernik and I can do!
I'm pretty much burnt-out in general. I'm sick of job searching, and being unemployed. I'm taking suggestions for other possible careers, feel free to chime in.
I will be running a 5K on September 16. It is for the Minnesota Ovarian Cancer Alliance, anyone who is interested should let me know and I'll get you an entry form, otherwise you can sponsor me or anyone that is running. I hope to see you all there, or at least your money! The event is for Ovarian Cancer Awareness so the more people we get there the better.
